How Potentials Came To Be

A Word From The Founder, Claire Bamberg

In the fall of 2020, when I could see that the pace and volume with which I was needing to work was not going to abate, I consulted with a colleague, asking for his perspective. His suggestion had me laughing dismissively in response. He suggested that I select certain people to train to do things “my” way, talented people from around the country. “Yeah, right,” was my response. I shrugged it off, got off the call, and then had a couple of days where my spouse had to bring me both lunch and dinner in my office. I ate as I worked.

The suggestion my colleague had made kept coming back to me. Saying “no” to hurting and overwhelmed people in need has never sat well with me, and the things I had to offer were helping people sustain, if not make some small gains, against the tide of the pandemic’s effect. Offering support and innovative responses to the pandemic, its effects, and the emotional tsunami that it left in its wake as it moved through the world, was as great a ministerial call as any other call to service had ever been, whether in the parish or as an executive director.

This challenging and compelling work was exponentially increasing as people grew more articulate about what they wanted help with. I began letting names come into my head and heart. People ask me where and how I found my team. I trained most of them, is the answer. I am pleased to report that I unabashedly cherry-picked from the scores of talented people I have worked with and alongside. And they said, “yes.”

Now I can say “yes” and know our bench is deep, and the wise, experienced, talented and well-trained people who sit on it with me are all ready and primed to jump into action. We are a team, and we make sure that when you call, you will get the person who will best suit your needs – in that moment, and if necessary, another in the next moment’s different need.

We are here to support quests and journeys, innovation and creativity. We offer support to those who are searching for purpose, and a next step. We seek to make the good better, and the better, best. We look forward to working with you.

Our mission is to work alongside you, encouraging awareness, supporting crucial and innovative change towards achieving your goals.

Our vision is to empower thoughtful, creative people and systems towards sustainable change, making a difference in the world for the good of the whole.
