ICF Certifications

Our professional coach training programs have been designed to meet all the International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards and requirements for a Level I and Level II training program. Our courses are aligned with the different levels of ICF certification, inlcuding Associate Certified Coach (ACC) & Professional Certified Coach (PCC). All you need to do is complete a few additional requirements to be accredited by this international board.

ICF Level I (ACC) Certification

Some coaches seek ICF certification – typically those who are offering professional coaching services within an organization, or who are working with supervision in a private practice. Your Potentials Certifications make this easy.

Prerequisites: Potentials Basic Coaching Certification and Potentials Mentor Coaching

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • 100 hours of coaching experience (only 25% of 100 hours can be pro bono; coaches must be paid for 75% of these hours)
  • Potentials approved audio recording of coaching session & transcript
  • Passing the ICF Credentialing Exam.

ICF Level II (PCC) Certification

Some coaches seek a higher level of ICF certification – typically those who own their own professional coaching practice. Your Potentials Certifications make this easy.

Prerequisite: Potentials Integrated Professional Coaching Certification and Potentials Mentor Coaching

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • 500 hours of coaching experience (only 10% can be pro bono; coaches must be paid for 90% of these sessions)
  • Two Potentials approved recordings of coaching sessions demonstrating Level II coaching acumen. One of these must be transcribed and formally evaluated. (This is required one time only)
  • Passing the ICF Credentialing Exam.

*The ICF requires 10 Potentials Mentor Coaching hours and the successful completion of the ICF Credentialing exam only once. The candidate can take this if pausing at Level I or wait until the successful completion of Level II.
